In the first half of the year, the cumulative power generation of wind and photovoltaic power accounted for about 11% of the total power generation, an increase of 1.5 percentage points year-on-year, and the substitution effect of green energy continued to strengthen. According to the person in charge of the National New Energy Consumption Monitoring and Warning Center, the overall consumption and utilization level of new energy was also improving. In the first half of the year, the utilization rates of wind and photovoltaic power were 96.1% and 97.9%, respectively, an increase of 0.8 and 0.3 percentage points year-on-year.
The report from the National New Energy Consumption Monitoring and Warning Center shows that with the continuous promotion of resumption of work and production, the growth rate of wind power and photovoltaic installation in the second quarter has significantly rebounded. Among them, wind power added 4.28 million kilowatts of installed capacity, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%, and the growth rate increased by 61.2 percentage points compared to the previous quarter; The newly installed photovoltaic capacity was 7.55 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%, with a growth rate increase of 36.9 percentage points compared to the previous quarter. Meanwhile, the layout of wind and photovoltaic development continues to be optimized. The installed capacity of wind power in the central and southern regions accounted for 30.8% of the national installed capacity, an increase of 1.7 percentage points year-on-year; The proportion of distributed photovoltaic installed capacity in China to the total photovoltaic installed capacity is 31.1%, an increase of 1.5 percentage points year-on-year.
The report predicts that the new installed capacity of wind power is expected to maintain stable growth in the third quarter; In the second half of the year, there is a high demand for centralized grid connection of photovoltaics, and the growth rate of installed capacity is expected to accelerate in the third quarter. In terms of consumption, the growth rate of electricity consumption in the whole society is expected to accelerate in the third quarter, and the overall adequacy of new energy consumption space will be further improved.
